Two priests severely assaulted by macho man

A macho man, Sani Mohammed has assaulted two catholic priests Adugyama in the Ahafo Ano South District in the Ashanti Region last Saturday.

Mohammed, who is said to have won TV3's Ghana's Strongest contest in 2013 is currently on police enquiry bail. Meanwhile, the victims, Rev. Father Anthony Awuah Boateng and Rev. Father Daniel Afum, are on admission at the St Edward Hospital and the Mankranso Government Hospital, respectively.

He subjected Rev. Father Boateng to severe beatings and inflicted machete wounds on Rev. Father Afum.

The Mankranso District Police Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Mr John Adusei, told the Daily Graphic that police received information about an incident of assault at Adugyama.

He said he and two policemen rushed to Adugyama to arrest the suspect.

Meanwhile, the suspect has been granted bail, while police investigations are ongoing.
