Why organise a whole show to announce the biggest winner when it has already been “prophecised” who is going to take home the artiste of the year award?
Current first lady of Lynx entertainment, Mzvee says she is optimistic of winning the artiste of year award in 2017.
In an interview with Livefmghana.com, the singer said, “I will win next year’s Vodafone Artiste of the year award. I am a very positive person and so is the people I work with and we always aim for Gold.”
“I believe in going for what is due you and I don’t set out to do something without the self-conviction that it will turn out positive. Even if you ask me how convinced I am about winning a Grammy, I will confidently say yes, I will win,” she said.
Mzvee described herself as a very principled person due to the discipline instilled in her by her family when she was growing up.
“I come from a disciplined family where no form of indecent behaviour is accepted so it sometimes baffles me when people think I am a naughty girl because of what I do on stage,” she lamented.
Born Vera Hamenoo – Kpeda, the Keta-born singer is currently a student at Ghana Telecom University. She was the lead singer in the defunct all-girl group, D3 and she won the Unsung Artiste of the Year at this year’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Some of her popular hit songs include Borkor Borkor, Harmatan, Natural Girl, Revolution and, Dancehall Queen.
