Vice presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Mahamudu Bawumia, has described President John Mahama as an "incompetent driver" who is leading Ghana nowhere.
Bawumia's response follows statements made by the chief of staff, Julius Debrah during his tour of the three Northern regions describing Bawumia as a "driver's mate".
Bawumia is currently campaigning in the Central region as part of efforts to win votes for the opposition NPP. During his campaign, the economist argued that: "Ghanaians do not need to be in the driving seat before knowing that the vehicle is headed the wrong direction or it is not moving at all."
With the December elections drawing close, both NPP and NDC are finding ways to outwit each other through the use of controversial languages and wild allegations.
