CHRAJ claims Mahama never took a bribe

Releasing their final report today, CHRAJ argues that even though the president faulted in accepting the vehicle, he surrendering the gift to the state proves him innocent.

The commission has also concluded that the President’s action did not amount to accepting a bribe. CHRAJ has therefore concluded that “full or further investigations into the allegations are not warranted. The allegations, therefore, are hereby dismissed.”

Minority members in parliament pressed hard to get President Mahama impeached over the Ford Expedition gift scandal - efforts which proved futile after the speaker in parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho squashed the motion.
