On Thursday, September 29, the electoral commission began accepting nomination forms for the December 2016 presidential and parliamentary elections. The first among the 9 presidential aspirants who presented their forms was the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akuffo-Addo, followed by the UPP's Akwesi Addai.
