Sakawa boy allegedly turns into cat during rituals in Ashanti Region

The shocking stories of Sakawa boys in Ghana keep getting unbelievable. It was all shock and fear when a Sakawa boy at Asante Bekwai in the Ashanti region turned into a cat after sleeping in a coffin for seven days, according to a report by the Daily Graphic.

The young man was among three friends, Kwadwo Kumasi, 28; Yaw Mensah, 37, and Kwame Osei, 26, who had contacted a popular sorcerer called Mallam Kantanka, at Sefwi Asawinso in the Western Region, to perform rituals for them to become rich overnight.

Kwadwo Kumasi, who is said to be a friend of Mallam Kantanka, sacrificed to be the first to sleep in the coffin, while the remaining two waited for their turns.

The sorcerer was later nowhere to be found after the shocking event - a development which convulsed Kumasi's friends to bring in the police.

The Asawinso district police commander,Richard Boahen who confirmed the shocking development  says Mallam Kantanka has been invited for interrogation.

Mallam Kantanka confirmed the report of the two complainants but said the spirits gave the two seven more days to perform some rituals to bring Kumasi back to life.

He said the police were waiting to see Kumasi’s return, as promised by Mallam Kantanka, while investigations were ongoing.

Following checks by the police at the shrine, a cat and an amount of money were found in a coffin in which Kumasi had slept for the rituals.
