The vice-president, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur, has fired a salvo at the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, saying that he has no record of performance to speak of.
Speaking to National Democratic Congress (NDC) faithful in the Ashanti Region on Saturday, Mr Amissah-Arthur said Ghanaians voted the NDC into power because they were dissatisfied with the performance of the NPP, a report by ghanapoliticsonline.com said.
He claimed Akufo-Addo would also not be able to ride on former President J.A. Kufuor's record because he had got rid of the pro-Kufuor people in the NPP.
The vice-president charged NDC supporters to ignore what he termed the divisive politics of Akufo-Addo and focus on helping the NDC gain reelection in December.
He advocated door to door campaigns which specifically targets undecided voters to enable the party win.
