After reading this message by Majid Michel, you will believe why you are still unemployed despite your college degree. Majid Michel has argued that career success is never based on one's university certificate but rather talents.
Speaking to some students at the University of Cape Coast, the popular Ghanaian actor lamented that the inability for students to explore their talents is the main reason for worrying unemployment rates in Ghana.
The concerns raised by Majid follows a recent World Bank report on Ghana which shows that close 48 percent of youths between 15 and 24 years do not have jobs. The report recommended to government to work towards equipping the youth with relevant skills through the educational system.
Unemployment is feared to play a major in civil wars across Africa. Especially during heated election periods when frustrated unemployed youths are lured to pick up arms against public authorities. Meanwhile, President Mahama during the NDC manifesto launch promises that his next administration will be based on the massive creation of jobs.
