Flagbearer of the main opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo, is warning Ghanaian voters against re-electing President Mahama in the December election.
Nana Addo believes that a second term for President Mahama will spell doom for Ghanaians today and generations unborn.
The administration of President Mahama, Nana Addo argues, has been characterized by the politics of deception and propaganda, massive levels of unemployment, despondency, rising cost of living, and severe hardships and suffering amongst the citizenry.
“John Dramani Mahama is the biggest threat to the future of our nation, and we have to work hard between now and December to kick him out of office,” the NPP flagbearer stated during a campaign rally at Mallam junction in the Weija/Gbawe constituency on Sunday.
NPP's Nana Addo and NDC's Mahama remain the fiercest contenders ahead of the presidential election in December. A victory for Nana Addo makes Mahama the only president in Ghana's fourth republic to last for a first term whereas a vote for Mahama ends the political career of Nana Addo after failing two consecutive elections.
