Popular Ghanaian actor Kofi Adu better known as Agya Koo has jabbed back at the flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) Akua Donkor, who took a swipe at the actor for endorsing NPP's Presidential Aspirant Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo.
Last week, Mrs. Akua Donkor said in an interview that the endorsements being made by Agya Koo and other Kumawood actors was no guarantee that the NPP was going to win in the December elections.
“If Agya Koo says he is endorsing Nana Addo and has decided to be part of the losing party, he should go ahead but I must tell him that his endorsement will never make Nana Addo the President of Ghana,” She said.
Mrs. Donkor went on to say, “If he thinks he can use his comedy to win votes for Nana Addo then he should stop because Nana Addo won’t win in the elections and will never win in any elections. He should continue entertaining us because that is what he is good at,” she asserted.
This clearly did not sit down well with Agya Koo who in an interview on Monday on Ashh FM’s show Key Note, said he had been advised not to attack personalities but rather address issues.
He however said that Mrs. Akua Donkor was more of a comedian than any other person.
"Who is a comedian in Ghana than Akua Donkor," he asked.
Agya Koo insisted that he and other Kumawood member endorsed the NPP due to the hardships Ghanaians are going through under the leadership of President John Dramani Mahama.
