President John Dramani Mahama is expressing full optimism ahead of the presidential election. The president claims he is never scared of the election because his achievements will definitely get him re-elected as president.
In a campaign rally to residents att the Brong Ahafo region as part of his 5-day tour of the region, the president stated that his first four-year term should be given another four-year term to continue with his transformational agenda.
Confident-speaking Mahama stated: "I came here to ask you if i deserve another four years and from what I see, I don't think I have to ask that question again because victory is mine...I have no fear because i know that by the grace of God the NDC will win this election."
The statements by the president come in the wake of firm warnings by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) that Ghana is bound to plunge into an economic recession should government fail to cut down of over-spending and massive debts.
