The New Patriotic Party’s manifesto launch is underway at the Trade Fair Centre where thousands of party supporters are gathered.
The programme is being presided over by former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
According to the NPP their manifesto will be the first step in a journey that will bring to an end the rot and corruption in Ghana. They also said their manifesto will provide solutions that will create jobs and bring positive change.
The launch is expected to be followed by a major political rally, which, according to the party, will be opened to all members of the general public.
Party sources say the manifesto will place emphasis on job creation and creating an enabling business environment for economic growth.
Meanwhile, the NPP ahead of their outdoor has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and All Peoples Congress (APC) of stealing ideas from the manifesto, a charge that both parties have rejected.
The Greater Accra Police Command has also expressed its preparedness to ensure tight security at the largest opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) manifesto launch today Sunday, October 9, at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra.
According to the Command, it has mapped out a security strategy that will ensure the event goes on peacefully and turns out successfully.
