Charlotte Osei is a "stupid fool" who is "not qualified" - Hassan Ayariga

Hassan Ayariga, the flagbearer of the All People's Party, who was disqualified by the Electoral Commission (EC) from contesting the December Elections, has condemned the commission for the decision.

In an angry reaction on Accra-based Class FM, Ayariga described EC boss, Madam Charlotte Osei, as a "stupid" and "foolish woman" who was not qualified to be the commission chairperson.

"Madam Charlotte Osei herself is not qualified to be an EC leader. She is stupid and foolish," he barked, adding: "Somebody who has contested in the past election, you are telling me you don't know his identity. Are you normal?"

When the interviewer appealed to him to tone down his rhetoric and discard the abusive language, Ayariga cut the call angrily.

Ayariga is one of 13 candidates who were disqualified by the EC on Monday. Others were: Papa Kwesi Nduom of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings of the National Democratic Party(NDP) and Edward Mahama of the People's National Convention (PNC).

The Commission also disqualified Madam Akua Donkor of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) and the flagbearers of 10 other parties, including United Progressive Party (UPP), Reformed Patriotic Democrats (RPD), Progressive People’s Party (PPP), and the Great Consolidated People’s Party (GCPP), United Front Party (UFP), All People’s Congress (APC), National Democratic Party (NDP), and the Independent People’s Party (IPP).
