Checks reveal that various entry points of the building have been detailed with the tightest security. These include the main entrance to the EC building where at least three fully-armed policemen have been deployed.

Police personnel were also spotted sitting in a police armoured vehicle, with their eyes scanning through the people who attempted to access the EC building. EC boss, Charlotte Osei, has argued that the disqualification of the 12 presidential candidates including PPP's Paa Kwesi Ndoum is due to cases of forgery in their respective nomination forms. Meanwhile, most of the affected political parties have threatened a legal suit against the EC as they seek court redress.
