Hassan Ayariga, the flag bearer of the All People’s Congress (APC) has declared that at his current age of 44, he has achieved a lot more than Ghana has in its 58 years of independence.
Speaking on his disqualification form the Election polls this year, Hassan Ayariga said he had spent $6 million on his campaign already. He said that if he were not serious about his prospects in the election he would not still be campaigning. The APC flag bearer talked about his exquisite collection of lands and car.
“…I have two plots [of land] only for one of the swimming pools and I want to make my people happy. Those who have never seen a swimming pool, they can come and swim in my house. I have a bar, a big restaurant, I have a mosque for prayers…so I am trying to build so that tomorrow when I become the president, Ghanaians will not say I used their money to build my castle, because that is what they are fond of doing,” he added.
The APC flag bearer further stated that he thanked God for his achievements, because the amount things he has managed to acquire for himself at his age of 44, not even Ghana has been to do so. This according to Ayariga meant that there was a problem with the country and its leaders. He said that Ghana needed leaders who could transform the lives of the people, motivate the youth to reach their full potentials and not leaders who just thought of themselves.
Only last week, Hassan Ayariga was listed among the 13 disqualified presidential aspirants, a dcision by the EC which sparked quite the angry reaction from him. Listen to him here:
