Controversial media personality, Afia Schwarzenegger has lashed out at Ghanaians who indulge in the act of brutal insults on other who share opposing political affiliations and views.
Afia took to her Instagram to “blast” these people she described as educated but ignorant.
She said, “Democracy is when one belongs to NDC and another to NPP or PPP. The fact that I want to vote for John Mahama and someone else wants to vote for Nana Addo or someone else doesn’t mean they’re stupid.”
She also said Ghanaians should put an end to the new trend on social media where people who appeared educated rained long essays of insults on other people for expressing contrasting political views.
Afia concluded the video by saying that the culture of insults among Ghanaian who belonged to different political parties was not going to translate into votes for the parties during elections. Rather, the messages that these parties had for the masses was what mattered.
She urged all floating voters to be attentive to the messages of the various political parties to be able to make informed decisions on who to cast their vote for.
