Disqualified candidates need psychological treatment - Lutterodt

George Lutterodt a popular counselor in Ghana has advised psychological counseling and treatment for the 13 Presidential Candidates who were disqualified last week from contesting the December 7 election.

According to Lutterodt, the state in which the affected Flagbearers find themselves after the shock disqualification is close to madness which requires that they counselled through the five stages of grieving, which are denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.

The Electoral Commission after the close of nominations announced the disqualification of the 13 Presidential candidates which included Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings, Hassan Ayariga, Dr Edward Mahama among others, following some anomalies found on their nomination forms.

In an interview with Yaa Serwah Akoto of Kasapa FM, the controversial counselor stated that currently the Flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party, Madam Akua Donkor is the only disqualified candidate who has arrived at the last stage of grieving as she has decided not to contest her disqualification by the Electoral Commission.

He’s confident that taking the other candidates through the counseling regime will save them from state of depression.
