The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, has invited General Overseer of Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah for questioning over his recent revelation concerning the upcoming elections.
He prophesied that God says the NPP’s Nana Addo will win the December polls but some political opponents are plotting to kill the opposition leader.
According to the police, the utterances of the man of God are seen as controversial by a section of the public.
The police further stated that the comments by the religious leader are inciteful comments which have the tendency of causing fear among the citizenry.
But the preacher in a response to police quizzed how the law enforcing entity intends to investigate a spiritual matter.
Rev. Owusu-Bempah in an interview said he has no regrets for making his revelations public without first informing the police, as he was only obeying the directions of God.
"I’ve said exactly what God asked me to do. I may have to go with the police before God and ask God to show us the people planning to assassinate Akufo Addo if it will be possible that way. Because I’ve never seen matters of spirituality being investigated physically, this is my first time." he opined.
