President John Mahama took selfies with excited female staff of the State Transport Company (STC) in Accra on Friday.
The move came after Mahama commissioned 50 new Scania Marcopolo buses to help boost the operations of STC, which has been challenged financially in recent times.
Mahama pledged that as long as he remained president, he would ensure the STC surmounts the challenges that confront it.
The president, who attended the event, with his eight-year-old daughter, Farida, said the new buses presented an opportunity for STC to recapture its glory days and urged the company to make the best of it.
He said if STC managed the new buses well, the government would guarantee the acquisition of additional buses.
