Parts of the national capital, Accra are without power due to an Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) routine maintenance exercise at the Mallam Bulk Supply Point.
The ECG announced that it will undertake a routine maintenance on Sunday which will interrupt the power supply to the capital.
According to the announcement some of the areas that will be affected are; Bortianor, Tokuse, Aplaku, Dunkonaa, Tetegu, McCarthy Hill, Kwashieman, Fadaman, Tabora, Weija, Kokrobite, Abeka Lapaz, Santa Maria, Mallam, Korlebu, Awoshie, Dansoman, Odorkor, Ablekuma, Asofa, Anyaa , Ofankor and Sowutuom.
The rest are Tantra hills, Amranhia, Mayera, Oduman, Dome , Kasoa, Nsawam, Regimanuel estates, Teshie, Baatsona and all factories and residences on the Spintex road.
Ghana has been experiencing persistent, irregular and unpredictable electric power outages for the past three years. The situation has, however, improved in the last four months.
