The chief justice is expected to retire in 2017

The chief justice in an interaction at the ninth chief justice forum revealed that all judges designated to sit on such cases have been instructed to deal with them expeditiously.

The assurance by the chief justice follows several law suits filed against EC by some political parties and individuals who were disqualified upon submission of their nomination forms.

Meanwhile, the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has dragged the EC to the supreme court seeking an order to compel the commission to announce results of special voting on the same day it is held.
