President John Dramani Mahama and his family in good will, have fulfilled their promise and donated all the proceeds from his late mother’s funeral to the National Cardiothoracic Centre in Accra.
An amount of GH¢280,000 was realised from the donations made from the funeral of Hajia Abiba Nnaba who passed away on June 14, 2016 at the SSNIT hospital in Accra.
UT Bank however decided to partner the president and his family by topping up the original amount with GH¢20,000, making it a total of GH¢300,000.
In a number of posts on the official Instagram page of the president, he captioned the photos: "Earlier today, I presented on behalf of my siblings, an amount of GH¢300,000 to the National Cardiothoracic Centre, being proceeds of donations received during the funeral of my late mother.
