The traditional ruler was happy the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer got stranded yesterday.
Nana Baffuor Mireku, Twifohene of Krachi Traditional Area in the Volta Region, has revealed he was elated when Nana Addo Danquah Akufo-Addo’s visit to the area was delayed due to the unavailability of a ferry.
The NPP presidential candidate with his entourage had to wait for hours before catching a ride across the Oti River to campaign in Krachi yesterday.

Consequently, he got to his destination late and could not also pay a courtesy call on the chiefs and elders of Krachi before commencing his campaign. Akufo-Addo apologised when he visited the Krachi palace this morning.
According to Nana Baffuor Mireku, he was happy Akufo-Addo experienced the plight of the people of Krachi. He was certain the NPP flagbearer would win the 2016 presidential election so requested for the construction of a bridge across the river to ease transport and also make the area more accessible.
Nana Akufo-Addo is on a five-day campaign tour of the Volta Region with aim of securing three parliamentary seats and 30% of the popular votes. He is expected to visit 15 constituencies in the Region which consistently gives his main opponent overwhelming support.
