The hustle in Ghana is really hard.
And with the unemployment rate so high, most people turn to become entrepreneurs. But entrepreneurship in Ghana is not as easy as one might suppose.
For one, the government has little policies in place to aid the growth of businessmen and it doesn't look like either the incumbent National Democratic Congress or the New Patriotic Party have solid plans to help.
For every true Ghanaian entrepreneur, these four photos selected by YEN in solidarity, are too damn ACCURATE;
1. Gari Soakings
Occasionally, you invest all your money into your (or business, in case you're all about fancy lingo) and end up having little to feed yourself. We see it this as the little sacrifice we make for a brighter future and gari is our best friend during those periods.
2. An empty wallet
Fat wallet? Not for Ghanaian entrepreneurs.
3. Worn out shoes
Now, true hustlers in Ghana have to cover a lot of distance on feet. And if you're are wearing a shoe, these type of soles are not unfamiliar to you.
4. The "Yes I Can" spirit
At the end of the day, despite all these issues, you keep reminding yourself that you WILL make it someday. The "I Can" spirit is your constant reminder that your star would shine one day.
