I don't give Nana Addo spiritual protection- Owusu Bempah

The founder of the Glorious Word Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah has debunked all claims that posit that he offers spiritual protection to the flag bearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo Addo.

The man of God was said to have made allegations that an assassination attempt would be placed on Nana Addo's life, which he would thwart.

I will not sit down for anyone to kill Nana Addo. God has revealed to me the plots against him by some individual, but that won’t happen under my watch," he had said in an interview with Neat FM.

The Reverend was then called to the offices of the Criminal Investigation Unit on Wednesday to give an account of his supposed prophecy, but was let set free.

In an interview on Kasapa FM, Rev Owusu Bempah has said that he is mortal and as such cannot guarantee the safety and well-being of anybody, which only the Almighty God can do.

He added, "I’m worried that people are telling all manner of lies about me on the internet. People are saying that I claim I give Akufo Addo spiritual protection. That is not true…I’ve never said that anywhere. I’m not God to give any man protection. I hear they also allege that I said if Nana Addo goes to the Volta Region, he’ll be killed, that is totally false. Let’s find out from the Police if this claim came up when they invited me. We are one people, how can I say Ewes will kill Akufo-Addo, these people spreading falsehood are going to create a problem for me, I’m not tribalistic becuase I have Ewes in my church and have huge respect for them, I just can’t say such bad things about them.”
