The 2016 general elections is drawing to a close with President Mahama faced with the uncertainty of being re-elected or voted out.
But in the midst of the chilling doubts, the NDC as a party may have another substitute for President Mahama in 2021. She is the current education minister, Jane Nana Opoku Agyemang.
You may recall that foreign affairs minister, Hanna Tetteh, in previous media interactions maintained that she has no plans of contesting for president in any election.
The world political gates have fully been opened to women and what this means is that a woman for presidency whether in the NDC or NPP remains a good campaign tool.
The education minister has also been described as one of the most hardworking ministers in Ghana today as a recent international report shows that Ghana's educational sector has gained massive improvements between 2015 and the second quarter of 2016.
But questions remains if Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang is made running mate of the NDC in 2021, Ghana could be on the path of having her next female president!
