- A 20-year-old Nairobi woman is accused of stealing goods worth KSh 50,000 (~$500) from her Facebook lover from Bungoma
- She had invited him from Bungoma claiming she was sexually starved for a decade and needed urgent attention
- When the lover arrived in Nairobi, she offered to carry his bag that contained a laptop and other valuables which disappeared mysteriously
On April 18, Emmanuel Wafula left his village home in Bungoma county for Nairobi to sexually satisfy a 20-year-old woman who had gone for 10 years without sex- or so Wafula believed.
He had met Marretah Mwikali on Facebook and the two fell in love and as such kept in touch through the social media platform.
The lady invited Wafula to Nairobi to satisfy her decade-long sexual urge on this day, little did her know what lay ahead.
According to court papers, Wafula worked at a quarry to raise fare form Bungoma to Nairobi for the assignment.
Mwikali had promised to accommodate Wafula upon his arrival in Nairobi.
He arrived at 9PM on April, 18 and was received by Mwikali who was in the company of two other ladies. She offered to carry his bag.
Before they could leave for her residence from Afya Center though, Mwikali excused herself to withdraw some cash from a nearby ATM.
That was to be the beginning a Wafula's tribulations. An hour later she reappeared claiming to have been robbed off Wafula's bag.
He asked her to report the matter to police but she refused. Well, she took him to her house only to be sent away the following day.
It is not yet clear if he managed to execute the assignment that brought him to Nairobi all the away from Bungoma.
Wafula proceeded to record the matter with police. He accused her of stealing goods worth KSh 52,000 including a laptop that was inside the bag.
When arraigned in court, Mwikali denied the charges and was released on a KSh 50,000 bond pending hearing of the case
