Rawlings urged to leave Konadu

The former President has been urged to divorce his wife.

A member National Democratic Congress (NDC) Communication team Stephen Atubiga has advised former President Jerry John Rawlings to annul his marriage with Nana Konadu Agyemang Rawlings.

Mr Atubiga claims the former First Lady is conniving with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to ensure the NDC loses the 2016 elections.

The NDC communicator could not understand why Nana Konadu would support Nana Akufo-Addo who, as the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, withdrew the privileges of ex-President Rawlings during the Kufuor administration.

Stephen Atubiga has however assured the former President the NDC would find him a new wife.

The NDC member made this and other contemptuous statements when he appeared on Angel TV’s morning show today. He defied several attempts made by the host of the programme to ensure decorum.

During the proceedings of the 2012 election petition, Stephen Atubiga made the headlines for scandalising the Supreme Court. Consequently, he was handed three-day prison sentence.
