Ghanaian footballer collapses in the middle of Italian Serie B game

Richmond Boakye-Yiadom, Ghana's striker was earlier Saturday, rushed to a hospital after he collapsed on the pitch while playing for Latina in the Italian Serie B match.

The 23-year-old was picked up by an on-alert ambulance and was rushed to a hospital in the Citadel, while being revived along the way.

Along with with Ghanaian compatriot Maxwell Boadu Acosty, Boakye-Yiadom started the game which ended terribly when he collided with an opposition player and passed out in the 22nd minute.

Preliminary scan results show that the player may have a spinal problem, while CAT scans tell of a possible concussion. The club Latina is expected to give further details about the striker and his health tomorrow.
