The Interior Ministry has indicated that Friday, November 4, 2016 is not a public holiday.
According to a statement signed by the sector Minster, Prosper Bani, even though his year’s Farmer's Day Celebration has been moved to Friday, the day is not a public holiday.
“The statutory Farmer’s Day Holiday, which falls on Friday, December 2, 2016 would be declared a public holiday appropriately,” the statement said.

The first Friday of December in every year is declared a holiday to celebrate farmers. This year’s date falls on Friday, December 2 but the day will not be observed as such.
