Presidential aspirant says EC lacks “common sense”

The Independent People's Party (IPP) Presidential candidate, Kofi Percival Akpaloo says the Electoral Commission lacks “common sense”.

According to disqualified candidate, even though he filled out his nomination forms correctly and properly the EC still disqualified him.

He has therefore resorted to join the legal fight to overturn his disqualification. “Despite submitting 432 genuine signatures endorsing my presidential nomination form, the EC still disqualified him.”

In the suit filed at the Accra High Court, Kofi Akpaloo said he wants the EC to 'put me back' into the December 7 presidential elections.

The case is expected to be heard on Thursday November 3, 2016.
