Local Motors, an American car company has made the first ever car using parts from a 3D printer.
The amazing and sleek car's body was made completely from parts straight out of a 3D printer. The wheels, suspension and engine were made in a more 21st century way, produced in factories and fitted to the car.

Perhaps most astounding is that this feat of engineering took only 44 hours to print. There is optimism that perhaps the technology will help to reinvent the auto industry. Local Motors hopes that buyers will be able to customize their cars online. This lofty ambition isn't the stuff of science fiction, the company predicts it'll be in full swing by 2017.
This amazing break through means that cars on Ghana roads might be printed in the very near future. Not only will buyers be able to get a 3D printed car, they can tailor it to their own desires. This means features, additions and designs for your new car could all be printed by the touch of a mouse pad.
