Cholera shakes Cape Coast with 125 new cases recorded

The Cholera outbreak is here with us once again with the Central region recording close to 125 cases just since October 21.

In an emergency press briefing in Accra on Wednesday, director of public health, Dr. Badu Sarkodie reveals that a national response team has been deployed to assist in these cases as surveillance schemes to deal with the outbreak intensifies.

Meanwhile, health experts fear of a disastrous effect should Greater Accra be hit by the outbreak. Here are clear practicable tips you and your family can use to protect yourselves against the outbreak;

1. Drink and use safe water

This means that bottled water with unbroken seals and canned/bottled carbonated beverages are safe to drink and use.To be sure water is safe to drink and use, boil it or treat it with a chlorine product or household bleach.

2. Wash your hands with soap and clean water always
