Dancehall act MzVee in an interview on Joy FM has advised young budding female musicians to be careful else they are exploited sexually or taken advantage of by some bad men in the music industry.
According to the “Abofra” hit singer, because usually up and coming female musicians want to be stars, they are usually desperate to do music at all cost.
But she urged the ladies who are passionate about doing music to work hard and wait for their time.
“If you don’t have that [patience] and you want to do music some bad people take advantage of you. You are a girl and we know how girls suffer already in this industry so you need to have that patience,” MzVee warned.
She further opined that “If you have the talent already, work hard and be patient you will meet the right people who will take you where you want to get to.”
