The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has confirmed that it will not participate in any presidential debate against the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
The NDC has been pushing for a debate between President John Mahama and Akufo-Addo, to be organised preferably by the National Commission on Civic Education (NCCE).
But the NPP has said that it is not going to happen.
John Boadu, the acting general secretary of the party has confirmed, according to the GNA, that Akufo-Addo “will never” debate Mahama.
According to him, debating the president will be a waste of Akufo-Addo’s time.
Boadu said the NPP presidential candidate would rather spend time campaigning across the country and updating people on how he plans to fix the economy.
