Just days after a failed bomb attack at his Kumasi residence , the deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, Andy Osei Okrah has said that he is doing quite well.
"We are alive and kicking. I’m OK. We are not afraid of anything. God is in control. I’m fine," he said in an interview on Class FM on Thursday, October 3.
On Tuesday, some unknown persons threw bombs into the compound of the deputy minister's residence and made their getaway on a motorbike. Security forces were immediately called to scene, and the minister's family who were still in the house were quickly evacuated. The bombs were then defused by the security experts.
Speaking on the matter, the Ashanti Regional Minister stated, "Obviously you don’t need a conclusion to say that there’s huge foul play just that you don’t want me to go into the political domain because that is not where we are looking immediately at. But the reality of the situation is that it has happened.”
The incident prompted an emergency meeting with the Regional Security Council.
