Government Releases GHC 300,000, Psychiatric Hospital Nurses Ordered Back To Work

The National Labor Commission (NLC) has ordered nurses at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital back to work following their announcement on Monday that'd they would be going on strike due to the difficult working conditions caused by a severe lack of proper logistics, and work equipment.

Government Releases GHC 300,000, Psychiatric Hospital Nurses Ordered Back To Work

In response government, represented by Health Minister Alex Segbefia, announced that it has released a check of GHC300,000 to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital in response the to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital nurses' work condition concerns. Furthermore, government has also purchased GHC120,000 worth of drugs, and also given food in addition to the GHC300,000 check.

These developments follow a statement made President Mahama made on him - the president - being unaware of the current financial situation that'd befallen the Accra Psychiatric Hospital .
