Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Party (NDP), has launched a blistering attack on President John Mahama and his brother, Ibrahim Mahama, accusing them of raiding the national purse.
Nana Konadu was reacting to unconfirmed reports that Ibrahim Mahama had bought a $20 million plane for the president.
In a speech at Kantamanto market in Accra as part of her Greater Accra tour, she, questioned how Ibrahim Mahama could afford such a plane.
“What sort of lie is this? How come your brother [Ibrahim Mahama] who was unable to pay a bank loan, managed to get 20 million dollars to buy a plane for you?
"It means that while you are stealing, your brother is also stealing; your family is stealing; your friends are also stealing , ” the former first lady said.
Nana Konadu urged Ghanaians to vote out Mahama in December in order to protect the public purse.
