All People's Congress (APC) presidential flag-bearer, Hassan Ayariga, has won a lawsuit filed against the EC challenging the validity of his disqualification from running for presidency.
The case, which was presided by Judge Barbara Charway, was heard today, Friday, November 4, at a high court in the nation's capital where the ruling was in favor the APC leader.
The Court found that the EC was too harsh on Mr. Ayariga and should have been a little more patient before disqualifying the APC flag-bearer. Justice Charway went on to say that the EC's decision was, "Absurd and unfair," and thus like her fellow Justice, Eric Kyei Baffour, order that the APC flag-bearer be allowed to rectify the dependencies in his nomination forms.
Meanwhile, The Electoral Commission will be back in court - Supreme Court - to battle the ruling given in favor of the PPP by a high court last week.
