The APC flag-bearer Hassan Ayariga who emerged victorious in his case against the Electoral Commission over his disqualification in the December elections has stated that his victory proves that the systems in Ghana are working.
"Ghanaians today have witnessed a very successful even today which demonstrates to the whole world that our laws are working. No matter who you are when you have any issue you can always go to court for redress. I am very proud that democracy is really working in this country. I am very proud that rule of law in Ghana is working," he said to the media, after a High court in Accra ruled in his favour.
Hassan Ayariga and his party, the APC were among the 13 disqualified candidates after the final nomination forms were sent to the Electoral commission a few weeks ago. After efforts to have their corrected forms accepted proved futile, they filed a suit at an Accra High Court and today the case was won.
