President John Mahama has advised the supporters of the National Democratic Congress to give him a resounding victory in the December 2016 elections, stating that a decisive win will prevent any post-election battle in court.
Speaking at a campaign rally in Tepa in the Ashanti Region, President Mahama said that it is very obvious he is on the victory path.
According to President Mahama, "This time around, I am pleading with you. I know by the grace of God we are winning. Let us not be complacent and think that because we are winning, that is it. But this time, I want the victory to be resounding so that what happened in 2012 wouldn’t repeat itself."
As Mahama is on his campaign trail in Ashanti Region, Nana Kwankye Safo II, the chief of Anweaso in the Adansi Asokwa constituency has declared that Mahama will emerge the winner in the 2016 elections.
"As for me, I’m assuring and promising him (Mahama), Nananom please listen to the language I’m speaking. It’s a vehicle in motion that we join, and not a stationary one with flat tyres. So I join his (Mahama) car," he said.
