The Christian Council of Ghana, represented by general secretary Rev. Dr. Kwabena Opuni-Frimpong, has urged the Ghana Electoral Commission to be fair, but also firm, in its deliberations with regards to discrepancies - cheating, nominations - relating to the 2016 general elections.
Rev. Dr. Kwabena Frimpong made these statements in a peace message ahead of the elections, saying that state institutions charged with upholding the rule of law and stopping violence must take up that baton firmly.
“We expect the EC to be very firm and fair in addressing all matters of cheating and make sure that at the end of the day we are going to get a free, fair and very credible election,” said the reverend in his message.
