NDC MP invited for questioning by police for allegedly inciting party supporters

Following the scuffle between supporters of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at Jamestown on Tuesday the police have invited the Member of Parliament for Odododiodio, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye for questioning.

According to the Greater Accra Regional Police Command PRO, ASP Effia Tenge the invitation to the minister follows accusations that Mr Vanderpuye was mainly involved in the fracas.

“There have been several reports about his involvement in the said disturbances and as a result of that, police have made efforts in inviting him [Mr. Vanderpuye] for him to also give a further statement,” ASP Tenge explained.
