With barely 25 days to the December Elections, Ghana's electoral commission seems to be coming up to speed with preparations towards it.
Some regions in the country have started receiving ballot papers for the parliamentary elections even as the EC and its chairperson, Madam Charlotte Osei have been in and out of court following the disqualification of some presidential candidates.
The Upper East, Upper West and Northern regions received their ballot papers along other logistics. This is in line with previous indications by the commission that it would start the distribution of materials across polling stations around the country.
“The commission has secured about 98 per cent of offshore items to be deployed, especially, at polling stations. Some of the materials have already been dispatched to the regions”, EC Chair Madam Charlotte Osei revealed.
