The petroleum minister, Mr. Emmanuel Kofi Buah has said the New Patriotic Party are desperate and confused, as they are relentless in their efforts to convince the citizenry that there is a looming power crisis.
Reacting to a letter supposedly signed by the Minister for Petroleum in Cote D'Ivoire, which claimed Ghana's power supply would be suspended and a further amount of $602 million would be charged for contract impairments.
Mr Emmanuel Kofi Buah stated that the letter was among documents that had been fabricated by the opposition NPP, and insisted that there was no such crisis.
"This is really coming from the opposition, they are desperate, they are dumbfounded, they are very confused, their hope was that the “dumsor” they preached about will stay till elections, it’s gone and they don’t know how to respond to it," he said.
He added that it was truly just a ploy by the NPP to spark fears among the people once again about the return of Dumsor.
