NPP is setting the stage to debunk Election 2016 results- Mahama

President John Mahama has said that the New Patriotic Party is preparing to refute the outcome of upcoming Election 2016. According to him, the opposition NPP's strategy is to unnecessarily and frequently attack the EC chair, Madam Charlotte Osei, which President Mahama said he had noticed for some time now.

Speaking at the Kpone Katamanso Traditional area in Accra on Saturday, the President stated the NPP have resorted to these tactics because they can see defeat in their future.

"The NPP knows it will lose the election and so they are falsely claiming the EC Boss wants to rig the election in our favour. They are setting the stage to dispute the election because they can’t win the election. So then after the defeat the NPP will say the EC rig the elections. But that is not possible, the Electoral Commission can’t do that. Our victory in this election will come from God. I’m not the least nervous ahead of the election because I know the NDC will win convincingly," he said.

On December 7, 2016, Ghana will be voting to elect a president and 275 parliamentary representatives, and the two most popular parties leading the race are the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
