The New Patriotic Party has declared a 21-day fasting and praying session for it supporters and executives starting from Wednesday November 16, to Wednesday December 7.
The session has been named 'Battle is the Lord's: Declaration towards peace and victory in Ghana' and would be opened with a candlelit vigil and prayer service at the Koforidua Jackson Park. The next sequence of events to follow would be the daily night prayers held by the party in all its office all over the country.
The coordinator of the event, Jeff Konadu has said that all the arrangements for the programme and several pastors as well as gospel musicians from the Eastern Region would be joining them on Wednesday night to kickstart the programme.
"We are doing our part as humans and it is our solid belief that Nana Akufo-Addo and the NPP shall win the December 7 polls; but we believe in God and it is important to pray to God. Indeed, we are very proud that we would be embarking on this physical exercise that has spiritual implications,” Mr. Konadu said.
The NPP flag-bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo is expected to join them, as well Rev Owusu Bempah from the Glorious Word Power Ministry International.
