After the successful launch of the new Kwame Nkrumah Interchange, there have been many mixed reactions, and prescriptions from various citizens, public officials and simple observers. One such prescription is from the Minister of Youth and Sports, Nii Lantey Vanderpuye who has urged Ghanaians to 'worship' the new construction.
He made this statement after President Mahama commissioned the new interchange, which he described as the 'longest and highest flyover in West Africa.'
In an interview on Viasat 1's This Morning show, the Member of Parliament for the Odododiodio constituency, said that new interchange should be 'worshiped' and respected by all Ghanaians, as it had the potential to become a tourist attraction in the times to come.
He added that the project would allow for free flow of traffic and easy commute and was "not just a modern interchange but a convenient place for tourism."
