The Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled and granted the application by former Attorney General, Martin Amidu to examine businessman, Alfred Agbesi Woyome in court.
The SC presided over by Justice Anim Yeboah ordered Woyome to make himself available in court for Mr Amidu to orally examine him on the repayment of the judgment debt paid him.
Mr Amidu’s action followed a move by the Attorney General’s (AG) office, led by the Minister for Justice, Marietta Brew Appiah-Oppong, to discontinue an oral examination of Mr Woyome, despite serving an earlier notice.
The NDC stalwart [Mr. Amidu] is on a citizen vigilante path to collect “false” GHC51 million judgement debt paid the businessman by the state.
Mr Woyome recently refunded GH¢4 million to state coffers, representing part payment of the GH¢51.2 million he owes the state.
