Nollywood Actor, Hanks Anuku is in the news again, this time with a heartfelt prayer for Nana Akufo Addo and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to emerge winners in the upcoming general elections.
The actor who has been a bit shifty in admitting he has taken a special liking to the NPP said in an interview on Viasat1’s flagship program, This Morning that he was praying for a victory for the party.
“I pray in the name of the lord Jesus Christ that God will make him (Nana Addo) win,” Hanks said.
Hanks who was in the studio to promote a new movie he featured in, “Nightmare in Accra” added that governance is not about putting up structures but rather handling the immediate issues affecting the people.
According to the actor, “It’s not about the structure but the immediate problems on ground that hurts the youth, mothers, fathers and the elderly.”
“In life you must always understand the pains in the grassroots for the poor and needy people. I have been there and I know how it feels because they tell me a whole lot about it,” he added.
The actor who has been living in Ghana for some time has been spotted on NPP campaign platforms cladded in the party’s paraphernalia but said in an interview with Joy News that he was not partial to the party as speculated.
